This project has received financial support from the ANR (Chimie Pour un Développement Durable – CP2D) and the position is available for 12 months starting in September 2009.

The main goal of this project aims is to develop new sustainable routes to polymers based on bio-inspired, metal-free catalysis involving organo-catalytic platforms and/or modified enzymes which both operate through reaction mechanisms presenting interesting similarities. These catalytic systems will be investigated for the polymerization of heterocyclic monomers.
The candidate should have a strong experience in polymer chemistry and characterization. Abilities in organic chemistry would be appreciated.
