We have a tendency to call bioplastics polymer that could be either biobased or biodegradable, in this case, we are talking mainly of PLLA and starch, then of the rare polymers which have both characteristics at the same time. Note that some products sold by those industries also blend PCL or PBAT in some cases, which are biodegradable but synthetic. This is also the case for PBS.
