Expertise

Michel A Huneault is Research Officer at the National Research Council of Canada and is adjunct Professor at Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He has obtained his engineering degree from Laval University and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique. He has carried out applied research on various aspects of polymer blending and processing technologies and has published over 30 papers in that field. As part of his mandate at the Industrial Materials Institute, he has initiated and conducted numerous industrial and academic collaborative projects. More specifically, in the last few years, he has initiated research in materials for the Fuel Cell application, on reactive extrusion, in dispersion visualisation and on the foams and films extrusion. More recently, his efforts have been concentrated on renewable materials, in particular on starch-based materials. He is an active member of the Polymer Processing Society and is responsible for the new quarterly bulletin of this society.
